2 Peter 3:8-9King James Version (KJV)
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Dear Friends,
One of my favorite games as a child was "What Time Is It My Clock?" If it was your turn to be the time keeper, "Mr. Clock" the other children children posed the the question: What time is it? If your answer was for example, 3:00 the participants tried to make it close to you before you turned around. The first one to reach you after the succession of time questions then, became the time keeper.
In this life we know the ultimate Time Keeper is Father God. He controls time past, time present and time future.
I am focused on time today as I write the 365th blog entry. A year's worth of entries written over a period of three years. I praise God for the opportunity to share scriptures and offer encouragement to those that visit here.
The ties that bind us as Christians are faith, hope, love -- these three. The greatest of these is love. As the year winds down and we anticipate a new day, a new year let us be mindful of how seriously the Lord views our time. It is precious. The Psalmist records:
Psalm 90:12King James Version (KJV)
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
What time is it "Bro. and Sis. Clock?" The time is right now. Today is the day. This present hour and moment is prime time for serving the Lord.
Let's draw closer to the Time Keeper. Jesus is waiting...
God bless!
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
