Psalm 23King James Version (KJV)
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Dear Friends,
Because we have Jesus as our Leader we have no need to fear. He will supply our every need.
The 23rd Psalm is a favorite of many who have committed it to memory. Yet, it is good to stop and slowly recite line by line, verse by verse this power Psalm and bask in the power that dwells therein.
- Shepherd
- Lead me beside the still waters
- Please restore my soul
- Lead me in the way of righteousness
- Help me not to be afraid in the darkness
- Keep me mindful always that You are near
- Please comfort me
- Thank You for Your protection in the presence of my enemies
- I praise You for Your anointing my cup overflows
- I know that Your grace and mercy endures forever
- I desire to abide in Your presence now and forever
Praise God!
in Christ,
