Romans 6:1-6King James Version (KJV)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Dear Friends,
My aunt and then later on my brother used to sing a song in the choir years ago
"I Want to be Worthy."
"I want to be worthy of your dying for me
I want to be worthy of your suffering on Calvary
I want to be worthy of your name and the right that I've gained, worthy of your pain and worthy of your shame.
I want to be worthy of your dying for me."
We know that we cannot work our way to heaven the price has been paid and Christ alone was worthy.Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. Jesus.
As followers of Christ it should be our daily desire to take up our cross and follow him:
Luke 9:23King James Version (KJV)
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Thank you Jesus for Your shed blood. Worthy is the Lamb. Jesus.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
