Dear Friends, This morning I was thinking about all the times I failed to thank God for His many blessings.  One songwriter penned: "Every day is a day of thanksgiving." Yet, I confess this has not always been my mantra.  The Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 86:5: For thou, Lord, art good And Ready to forgive Plenteous in mercy Unto  All that call upon Thee Lord thank you for blessing me and forgiving me even when I did not pause to say thank you.  You are Good. Dear Friends, I sometimes hear: "I don't know why people are always bothering me, picking on me. I try to get along and be nice to everyone."  Well the truth is you do not have to bother anyone or be mean in order to become the victim of bullies or individuals who are simply angry/mean. While it may sound like a cliche, it is true. That's life.   But God's Word lets us know that when we are persecuted for doing right, when we are rejected unjustly, when others lie on us WE ARE BLESSED . The victory comes in living like we believe it. Challenging when stones are being thrown.  It is hard to imagine thanking someone while you dodge bricks!  However, with each passing day and renewed ounce of strength you can do it.  All things are possible through Christ Jesus.  I can say I could smile and sometimes even laugh in the midst of persecution because the I was reminded of the word of the Lord:  I am blessed in and because of such obstacles.
