Proverbs 15:16King James Version (KJV)
16 Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
Dear Friends,
There are so many things that the world may seem to have to offer us. Fame, fortune, recognition. Yet, all of these things are temporal. Even our relationships with others are but for a season. However, upon acceptance of Jesus as Lord and King our relationship with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit take on eternal significance. Everlasting life. I'd rather have Jesus than anything.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
I'd Rather Have Jesus - Rhea Miller (Public Domain)
1 I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I'd rather be His than have riches untold;
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
I'd rather be led by His nail pierced hand
I'd rather be His than have riches untold;
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
I'd rather be led by His nail pierced hand
Chorus:
Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin's dread sway.
I'd rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.
Than to be the king of a vast domain
Or be held in sin's dread sway.
I'd rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.
2 I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause;
I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame.
I'd rather be true to His holy name [Chorus]
I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame.
I'd rather be true to His holy name [Chorus]
3 He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He's sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He's all that my hungering spirit needs.
I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead [Chorus]
He's sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He's all that my hungering spirit needs.
I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead [Chorus]
