Rest in Hope - Acts 2:25-26

"For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also shall my flesh rest in hope." - Acts 2:25-26

We all get tired sometimes.  Bodies tire.  Minds may become overwhelmed.  Emotions are drained.
Just tired.  Power napping may help.  Going to bed a little earlier may refresh.  Perhaps a good book, a long walk, or some relaxing music to soothe the tiredness.  Good remedies abound.

There are times however, that weariness sets in.  The exhausting presence of a weight so heavy that we go to bed with it and rise with it.  But God, has provided the solution for this.

The Word of God, the presence of Christ with us. God's remedy. This is hope.  Hope in Christ.  Nothing less. There is sweet rest in Him.  Jesus keep us near the cross always mindful that your sacrifice provided our escape. May we abide in His Word. May we study to show ourselves approved unto God. We declare that we are free in Him.  No longer bound by cares of the world.  We can rest in hope.

"Near the cross. Near the cross.  Be my glory ever.  Till my raptured soul shall find, rest, beyond the river."  - Fannie Crosby

Rest in hope!

God bless.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
