The Connectors

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

            - Psalm 145:2-4

In loving memory of Adrianne.

Family is important. From the time I was a child this was stressed.  Respect for parents. Loyalty to family and love for siblings.  I was blessed to know my paternal great great grandmother, great grandmother, and grandmother. My aunts, uncles and cousins were and are people I enjoyed fellowship and friendship with.

Family is important. Two days ago my beautiful cousin passed away.  Two weeks ago she reached out to see if I was okay because she didn't hear from me that morning. Every day we communicated. I sent a text yesterday morning. No response. Instead a phone call telling me she had passed.

Family is important.. For every person the Lord has allowed me to call family I am thankful. This includes my immediate and extended family, my brothers and sisters in Christ and those who God has identified as family through community and work relationships through the years.

Families are connectors and when one is no longer here the impact is felt. I miss my cousin. My heart is broken. But I truly celebrate the life that was and will always be connected with mine.

God bless!

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

  1. Beautifully written and expressed, Stephanie! I conquer with your sentiments concerning family and friendships. God has blessed us each down through the years. We will miss Adrianne Diane on this side of the Jordan River. However, when we all get together what a day of rejoicing it will be. When we all see Jesus we will sing the victory. you always, be encouraged!

  2. I will miss Adrianne very much. I love you Steph and Frank. Yes, we have many many memories that we all have shared together some of us aren't here anymore but thank God for the good memories on Grand Avenue on Cedar Avenue Community College , Edgewood , Meadowbrook , Akron, OH and many out-of-town trips. And I'm probably forgetting something but it doesn't matter. Sometimes when we, look back we laugh ,sometimes we cry. Sometimes things are clear and sometimes not so clear. Thank you Jesus! Thank You for all the good times ...............

Unlimited Access

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"     - I Timothy 2:5 Dear Friends, "Please listen carefully for our options have changed."  I stay on the line listening to each option. More often than not there are at least seven.  If none of the options meet the need you have the final option of pressing "0" for the operator.   I praise God that on this Christian journey.  The access options do not change.  There is only One. One God, One Mediator, the man Christ Jesus. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice to provide us with unlimited access to the throne of God. We are never put on hold when we reach out to God. Prayer is a direct line through Jesus Christ.  Our worship, our praise is to the One and Only God.  Worthy is the Lamb. Praise God for Unlimited Access through Jesus Christ Our Lord. God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

I Remember

"When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.  Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings I will rejoice." - Psalms 63:6-7 Dear Friends, "My sister and me used to have bunk beds.  This reminds of me of that. Do you remember Stephanie? It's like we are having a pajama party." I remember. I sat with my sister in her Hospice room and I remembered.  Bunk beds that we sometimes had stacked and at other times they were laid side by side, like twin beds.  I remember that we are not in our room of long ago. Unless the Lord says otherwise when this "party" is over my sister will be with the Lord and I will return to my earthly home.  I remember. God was a Mighty Fortress during those days.  In a place where people go to comfortably die, the Lord was teaching a lesson on how to live.  Praise and worship was the norm.  My sister the angelic soprano sang.  Family came in the room and for...

Blessed Are They That Believe

Luke 1:39-47 King James Version (KJV) 39  And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 40  And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41  And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42  And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43  And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44  For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45  And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. 46  And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47  And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Dear Friends, Seasons Greetings!  When...
