The Connectors

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

            - Psalm 145:2-4

In loving memory of Adrianne.

Family is important. From the time I was a child this was stressed.  Respect for parents. Loyalty to family and love for siblings.  I was blessed to know my paternal great great grandmother, great grandmother, and grandmother. My aunts, uncles and cousins were and are people I enjoyed fellowship and friendship with.

Family is important. Two days ago my beautiful cousin passed away.  Two weeks ago she reached out to see if I was okay because she didn't hear from me that morning. Every day we communicated. I sent a text yesterday morning. No response. Instead a phone call telling me she had passed.

Family is important.. For every person the Lord has allowed me to call family I am thankful. This includes my immediate and extended family, my brothers and sisters in Christ and those who God has identified as family through community and work relationships through the years.

Families are connectors and when one is no longer here the impact is felt. I miss my cousin. My heart is broken. But I truly celebrate the life that was and will always be connected with mine.

God bless!

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

  1. Beautifully written and expressed, Stephanie! I conquer with your sentiments concerning family and friendships. God has blessed us each down through the years. We will miss Adrianne Diane on this side of the Jordan River. However, when we all get together what a day of rejoicing it will be. When we all see Jesus we will sing the victory. you always, be encouraged!

  2. I will miss Adrianne very much. I love you Steph and Frank. Yes, we have many many memories that we all have shared together some of us aren't here anymore but thank God for the good memories on Grand Avenue on Cedar Avenue Community College , Edgewood , Meadowbrook , Akron, OH and many out-of-town trips. And I'm probably forgetting something but it doesn't matter. Sometimes when we, look back we laugh ,sometimes we cry. Sometimes things are clear and sometimes not so clear. Thank you Jesus! Thank You for all the good times ...............

Adds Up…

2 Peter 1:5   “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;” One of my hobbies is making yarn wreaths.  The wreath frame symbolizing an unbroken circle and an eternal hope. As I tie each double strand of yarn I consider the blessings  of the “tysthatbind”  Adds up… Love+ Faith+ Hope+ Mercy+ Grace+ Peace= Diligently,  Continually  Seeking  to  Add to my faith virtue,  And to virtue knowledge Adds up… God bless.♥️  In Christ, Sis. Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
