God Is Enough

Matthew 6:26-29 King James Version 26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28  And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. God is Enough. All of our needs He is able to supply. God is Enough. His ways are perfect. God is Enough. He does not make mistakes. God is Enough. His ways are past man’s finding out.  God is Enough. His mercy is everlasting. God is enough. His truth endures to all generations. God is Enough. His Word is true.  God is Enough. He provided for our salvation. God is Enough. He gave His Only Begotten Son.  God is Enough. The Son gave His life. God is Enough. He guides and comforts us through His

Love Is Still Lifting Me

Romans 8:28 -  King James Version 28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Love is still lifting me. "When nothing else could help it was love that lifted me."  Yesterday, the Lord blessed me to see another birthday.  It was a spectacular day.  Love marked the day.  A milestone year.  One of my daughters asked me if I felt  any different.  Other years, I would say, "No not really."  This time was different.  I feel different.   Physically, I need to address some things.  New health challenges surfaced several weeks ago.  I was startled at first. But, love is still lifting me.  The hymn writer expressed: "I could have been dead sleeping in my grave but the Lord made my enemies behave." Love is still lifting me. The years have taught me so much.  I am still resting in the vanity room where as a woman I am not telling everyone my age. (smile) But the difference is I am

Every Moment Matters

Psalm 30:5 King James Version.    For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Every Moment Matters  sdktyus@2022 Every moment matters.  Every day another “run.” People, places and even things race to get a turn  Grace and mercy matter.    No kindness every lost Blessings flow and overflow  freely from God without cost.  Truth and integrity matter.  Relationships each hold a special place. Some existing for eternity.  Loved ones gone.  None can fill their space  Thoughts and feelings matter.  Prayers that intercede.  Falling tears and laughter  according to the need.  Life and death they matter  so make the moments count while you are here. Cherish time spent.  Wisely, time  invest in what you hold dear.  Every moment matters Moments matter Yes they do Moment by moment this I pray —- may God’s  grace guide us through.  In Christ, Sis. Whole World in His Hands

Psalm 24:1  King James Version The earth is the  Lord 's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. " He's got the whole world in His hands.  The whole world in His hands. He's got the whole world in His hands.  The whole world in His hands. He's got you and me in His hands.  He's got you and me in His hands.  He's got you and me in His hands. The whole world in HIs hands, He's got the little bitty babies...He's got the momma's and the daddy's...He's got your friends and enemies in His hands.  The whole world in His hands." The earth and all its inhabitants are in the mighty hands of Sovereign God.  All is under the authority of God.  There is no escaping His oversight.  No respecter of persons with Him.  God is God Alone. Recent news reports, world unrest, lingering pestilence threaten to overwhelm and challenge the resolve of believers to be unwavering.  How can we remain strong, we are human, and we have

Sufficient Strength

Psalm 119:50 -  King James Version This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. Ever feel like crying and not sure why? Do you ever burst out laughing for no reason? My answer is yes to both questions.  The tears and the laughter add strength.  The expressions, “A good cry”, “I needed a good laugh”, are evidence of shared life experiences.  Sufficient strength. Sufficient grace.  God always gives us just what we need. Today the Lord woke me up early. I got up although moving slowly. I completed the morning routine of face washing, etc.  I sat down at my computer. I stared out the window. I said to myself, I’m feeling a little down today.  The Holy Spirit sat with me. He comforted me.  He gave me the sufficient strength to keep moving. He reminded me that the enemy is trying to stop you. “But God is holding you.” Amazing! Strength sufficient for today. I feel like crying and laughing at the same time right now.  His grace is sufficient. His strength IS made per

When I Was a Child

1 Corinthians 13:11a -  King James Version When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child Childhood.  Passing days make it seems so distant.  Yet, memories keep it close.  Childhood. When I reflect on those days most of my memories are good ones.  I am also aware that there were some frightening times.  There were a lot of challenges my parents faced raising four children.  There were choices that had to be made sometimes that I did not understand.  Some of those choices still puzzle me.  However, the overriding theme during that time was love.  I always knew I was loved.  Because of that I also loved others, my parents, my brothers and my sister.  That love was loyal, it was fierce, it was unconditional, and it has withstood the test of time.   I cannot describe how thankful I am.  On days when I feel down the love of family has lifted me.  My mother and sister are gone on, but their love remains.  My father and brothers...I cannot say enough abo

Great and Mighty Is Our God

Genesis 15:1 King James Version 15  After these things the word of the  Lord  came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Great and Mighty is Our God.  He reigns with great power.  He moves in great majesty.  He rules with great wisdom.  Great.  Our God is Great.    God deserves our praise.  He has prepared for us all that we need.  He cares about our day-to-day existence.  He abides in greatness.   Great God.  Mighty God. Righteous God. Holy God. Awesome God. Faithful God.  Good God. Great and Mighty.  Yes. Mighty in Greatness is Our God.  This God of great might is directing our lives.  He is ordering our steps.  He is hearing and answering our prayers.  We give thanks to God for His abundant grace and mercy.  We thank Him, praise Him and worship Him. Great and Mighty God is Our God. God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

I Am Still Singing

1 Chronicles 16:21-24 King James Version 21  He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, 22  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 23  Sing unto the  Lord , all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. I am still singing.  I can't stop. The goodness of God keeps pouring over my soul.  Melodies flood my mind and encourage my heart.  I am still singing.  I pray I never stop.  God has planted songs in each of us.  Some of them are memories of time gone by.  Perhaps, it was a song on the radio.  A church choir may have impacted your life with songs of praise.  It could be a humming that is on your lips.  You cannot quite place the tune, but it soothes your soul. Songs.  Notes from Zion.  Delivered to us to teach us, to encourage us, to bind us together. "Jesus loves me this I know." "Deep, deep, deep down in my heart.  I've got the love of Jesus and it's deep down in my heart."  "Shine

Joy... I Cannot Explain

1 Peter 1:7-8 King James Version 7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: I feel good.  I have joy down in my soul I cannot explain.  Unspeakable, this joy.  The sun is shining.  It is a clear day although cold.  The tree branches are waving.  Even though the leaves have departed for a season, the trees are still clapping their hands and rejoicing.  I believe the trees are feeling good!  Through the snow, there are little glimpses of grass.  Grass being fertilized under the snow.  The grass is feeling good. It knows that by and by it will return to its glory.   Unspeakable joy.  Joy that prevails even through the hard times.  Joy that blossoms in the good times.  I cannot explain it.  I just fee

Now Will I Arise

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,  now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. God is never late.  Economically poor. Mentally anguished. Emotionally spent. Spiritually drained. The Lord will arise. He will show up and make His presence known.  It may appear that you are boxed in. Deliverance seems so away. Wait! Consider that God has never failed to perform what He promised.  He will arise. Sufficient grace. Appropriate provision. God’s will cannot be hindered. He hears each cry. He cares about the poor. Poverty is not beyond the healing hand of God.  Every tear He sees. Every obstacle He is aware of.   Look up. Look to Him Who calms the wind and stills the storm. Reach up. Grab hold and don’t let go of the Masters hand.  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.  (Isaiah 60:1)  Now will I arise.  in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

I Feel LIke Singing

Ephesians 5:19 King James Version 19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; My friend and sister in Christ sent me a song this morning.  "Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross." (Traditional rendition by the Mississippi Mass Choir.)  I am listening now, and I feel like singing. The thing is once I get started on one song my mind wanders to others.  "I feel like going on. Though trials come on every hand, I feel like going on."  I feel my help coming on and I start to hum: "I don't feel no ways tired come too far from where I started from. Nobody told me the road would be easy, but I don't believe He brought me this far to leave me."  The Holy Spirit reminds me: "The Lord is blessing me right now.  Lord right now.  He woke me up this morning and started me on my way."  Glory to God! I feel like singing. I am having a concert in my heart.  Later on, it's likely I wi

Marvelous

Psalm 139:14 King James Version 14  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. I cannot stop praising His Name.  God made me.  Wow! Me.  I marvel so many times about this.  The Lord gave me life.  He made me a living soul.  Fearfully. Wonderfully, I made.  Fearfully, wonderfully, the Lord God made us all.  Marvelous, the work of God.   I keep thinking about the song: I Won't Complain.  The songwriter penned: "All of my good days outweigh my bad days." Marvelous.  Further: "God knows what's best for me although my weary eyes cannot see."  Marvelous.  Continuing:  "All I can say is thank you Lord. Thank you, Lord.  I won't complain." Simply. Marvelous. Marvelous. God is, Marvelous! God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Soul Full

Psalm 62:1 King James Version 62  Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. My soul is full right now.  I keep thinking about all the ways the Lord blesses me.  Blessings abound moment by moment and day by day.  I am able to think for myself.  I am in my right mind.  I am able to dress and feed myself.  I do not take this for granted.  Though my vision is sometimes blurry, I can still see.  I am able to enjoy the voices of my family and friends.  I can smell some of the new recipes I have been trying.  I smile at the delicious aroma.   My soul is filled right now as I look back over twenty plus years ago on February 16.  My beautiful daughter, my blessed middle child who holds us together was born.  The two of us almost did not survive. But, praise God, we are still here.  My soul is full. God has been good to me.  He has been so very good to me.  My soul is full.  Right now. God Bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

A Mind Like Christ

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 2:5 Today the Mind of Christ (sdktyus@2022) Today let me have the mind of Christ. Thinking of His will in all I do. Let me show kindness. Let me show love.  May my actions reflect my Father above.  Fill me with thoughts that are noble and true. Surround me with grace. Amazing like You. Season my speech. Clean my heart.  Let my conversation  Be righteous for Holy Thou Art. Guard my mind. Guard my heart. Direct my steps so I will not depart. Powerful Lord let my mind be. Today give me the mind of Christ Holy Lord,  like Thee. God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie

Renewed Strength

Isaiah 40:31 King James Version 31  But they that wait upon the  Lord  shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Renewed like an eagle.   I read an article recently that outlined seven characteristics of an eagle.  Eagles have vision. They are fearless.  Eagles are tenacious. They are highflyers. Eagles never eat dead meat. They possess vitality. Eagles nurture their young. Vision is necessary in order to thrive.  Daring to believe beyond what can be seen is key. The Bible teaches: "We walk by faith not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7    Eagles are fearless.  They are not intimidated by the size of their prey.  They are confident is their power to overcome obstacles.  The eagle perseveres because of its tenacity.  Determined, persistent, the eagle.  High flying. Eagles.  When the storm comes, they rise above it. Soaring.  Flying where the sun is still shining. The eagle desires w

A Heart That Forgives

Psalm 139:23-24 King James Version 23  Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. A heart that forgives is Christ like.  In spite of the many atrocities Jesus suffered at the hands of others, He forgave.  We know of the intentional wounds that were inflicted on Christ leading up to and during the crucifixion.  Perhaps we are not always mindful of the "unintentional" wounds.  Indifference, apathy, obstinance.  But, praise God,Christ forgives.  Over and over mercy and grace are extended to us. I pray today for a heart that forgives.  Only the Lord can enable such a heart.  He will grant this to those who ask.  A dear friend of mine told me about a song: A Heart that Forgives by Kevn Levar.  Beautiful words.  "I want a heart that forgives.  A heart full of love.  I want a heart that forgives one that overcomes evil with goodness and love." Today Lord God grant us f

I Am Going to Be Joyful

John 16:23-24 King James Version 23  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24  Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. There is so much to be thankful for.  I choose joy today.  I am going to be joyful.  Some aches and pains, yes.  A pile of bills, for sure.  Some things to cry about, certainly.  Yet, there is so much to be thankful for.  I choose joy today.  I am going to be joyful. "He's the joy of my salvation. Yes, He is. Woke me up this morning, started me on my way. He's the joy of my salvation. Yes, He is."  Joy. Today.  Chose joy .  'Joy, joy, joy, a little more joy.  You don't need a lot, just use what you've got."   Today, joy.   I chose joy. "Because He lives all fear is gone. I know He holds my future. Life is worth the living just because He lives."  Joy.  Chose joy. J

Finally

Ephesians 6:10 King James Version Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Finally. Eventually. Ultimately. In the end.  By and by. At length. When all is said and done. In the fullness of time.  Conclusively.  Irrevocably. Decisively. Definitely. Definitively. Absolutely. Forever. For good. Permanently. Once and for all. In conclusion, my brothers and sisters, let us be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Amen. God bless! in Christ, Sis. Stephanie
