Genesis 1:2
King James Version
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Sometimes I forget to water my plants. Well, actually, I forget often to water them. They seem to thrive well on their own. Until they don't.
God never forgets to water us. Constantly, He is bestowing blessing upon blessing. He wakes us up. He guides us through our day. He grants us safe passage through the night. He has given us Living Water. He has given us The Living Bread. It is up to us to soak up the nourishment. It is up to us, this privilege of being watered by the Word.
I thank God for the Holy Spirit who prompts me to reflect on God's Word. The face of God is still moving upon the face of the waters. The river flows. Joy overflows. Water faucets produce. Peace restores. Lakes abound. Mercy is every present.
I get excited when I think about scriptures. This is because I realize that even as the Word of God comes to mind the Holy Spirit is moving on the face of my soul. He leads me. He guides me. He comforts me. He restores my soul.
What a blessing. It is such a marvelous encounter. It is life changing, life giving and life sustaining. Oh! Praise God! This well of thanksgiving is to be watered by the Word.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
