We All "Got" Faults

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 kjv

My grandmother often said to me, "Steph, we all got faults."  I would get so frustrated when folks weren't stepping up to the plate like I thought they should.  Grama was a wise woman.  She knew I was not always "stepping correctly".  She had a way of setting one straight with her own infamous quotes.  It took me a long time to understand she was letting me know that I wasn't perfect.  Hence, we all got faults.

Sometimes, we confess our faults to others by our actions.  Today, I sent out the morning scriptures. I put Faithful Friday in the message.  Well today is THURSDAY!  Now there were those who I believe prayed for me right then. "Lord please help her.  She doesn't know what day it is."  Thank you, Jesus, for answered prayer.  Was the fault moving too fast?  Was it sending out a partly incorrect text announcing the wrong day? Whatever the case, the Holy Spirit gave me this: Don't try to use Friday's grace on Thursday.

One of my favorite songs is, "He Looked Beyond My Faults." He, the Lord God looked beyond my faults and saw my needs.  Faultless God is always Faithful.  Faithful God is always merciful. Merciful God is always compassionate.  Compassionate God is All in All.

Yes. We all got faults.  Thank you, Lord, for loving us in spite of.

Thank you for this day. This Thursday.

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
