Matthew 5:4
“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
Comfort food.
I received word that a dear friend and sister in Christ passed away.
She had been battling illness over several months.
However, I was stunned and saddened to get the news.
Our friendship was forged during a time of mourning.
Her mom passed several years ago and I sent her a framed poem I had written.
It was as though our friendship was forged, from the moment I sealed the envelope.
Many good memories shared.
We also shared a vision.
The vision of heaven. No more sickness, pain, or death.
A place prepared by Christ, a heavenly home, always in view.
She has realized the vision.
She is at home now.
In times like these there are no words I know to ease the grief of her family and friends.
Yet, there is Comfort Food.
I offer the Living Word.
Bread of Heaven.
Jesus Christ.
It is written:
Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.
This I pray in Jesus Name.
Amen.
God bless✨
In Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
