IF IT HAD NOT BEEN

 

Psalms 118:6

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”


“If it had not been for the Lord on my side, tell me where would I be.  Where would I be?”


I could be nowhere. 

I could be doing nothing.

I could have lost my mind. 

I could have thrown in the towel.


But God!


The Lord has kept me.

He walks with me.

He talks with me.

He guides my mind.

He orders my steps.

He renews my strength.

He restores my soul.


But God!


I do not deserve it.

I have not earned it.


But God!


Merciful 

Mighty 

Magnificent Lord.


Good

Great

Gracious Father.


He has never left me.

He continues to bless me.

His grace amazes me.


But God!


“He kept my enemies away.

He let the sun shine through a cloudy day.

He wrapped me in the cradle of His arms

When He knew I had been battered by the storm.”


But God… 

Bless His Holy Name.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords.
