"And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:" - Deuteronomy 26:7-8
Dear Friends,
I am sitting here pondering over the words of a old song:
"The Lord God has brought me from a mighty long way. The Lord God has brought me from a mighty long way. I've been blessed by His goodness. I've been kept my His grace. The Lord God has brought me from a mighty long way."
Crying out to the Lord in times of trouble, shouting praises to the Lord in good times and bad; always keeping in mind that it is His power and goodness that has kept me.
Sometimes it is good to think about where the Lord has brought "you" from. Even a short distance is a "long way" when you consider how great a deliverance God provided. He sent His Only Son from glorious heaven to sinful earth to die for our sins. A mighty long way.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
