Remember



"After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." - I Corinthian 11:25-26
"The memory of the just is blessed..." - Proverbs 10:7
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. - Isaiah 53:5

Dear Friends,
Memorial Day is a day for remembering.  We remember our loved ones who have gone on.  We remember those who have given their lives in service to their country. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance.
Our Savior spoke to us of remembering.  Holy Communion, when we pause to take the Lord's Supper with the bread a symbol of His broken body and the wine/juice a symbol of His shed blood is a time of remembrance.
Remembering Jesus. Jesus, a Just Man. Jesus, the Blessed Savior. Jesus, He was wounded for our transgressions. Jesus, He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. Jesus, with His stripes we are healed.
Remember. Memorial Day. Every day. Remember Jesus.

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
