Not so Fast

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:"
   - James 1:19 KJV
 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear,slow to speak, slow to anger;
  - James 1:19 ESV

"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry," - James 1:19 NIV

Dear Friends,

James 1:19 is one of my favorite Bible verses.  The reminders to be a good listener, think before you speak and do not be quick to become angry are priceless resources in building and maintaining healthy relationships.

Listen more.  Speak less. Control your temper.  You will be glad that you did. Consider James 1:20:

 "For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." KJV

"for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God." ESV

"because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." NIV

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

Adds Up…

  2 Peter 1:5   “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;” One of my hobbies is making yarn wreaths.  The wreath frame symbolizing an unbroken circle and an eternal hope. Help…My Help

  Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
