Habakkuk 2King James Version (KJV)
2 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Dear Friends,
The prophets were often viewed as watchmen upon the wall. Here we find Habakkuk keeping watch, awaiting instructions from the Lord.
The Lord is still speaking through those faithfully following him today.
"Preachers and teachers would make their appeal fighting as soldiers on life's battlefields, when to their pleading my poor heart did yield, all I come say was there is something within."
God always makes his plan known through His Word and works through those who in obedience will stand upon His promises unafraid.
The just shall live by faith saith the prophet.
When the vision is given God does not always show all of the pieces at once. He may lead you to start a business, write a book, send you on a special assignment. However you may not be provided with the entire outline or all of the details up front.
During those times our prayer must be Lord, Be Thou My Vision. Lead me in the way I should go.
in Christ,
Sis. Stephanie
