Before You Make Your Move

15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.  - Proverbs 18:15-17

Dear Friends,

Sometimes we are just ready for a change. We can become tired of the same old same old. There is a desire for things to be different.  We resolve that this year will be unlike those that have gone before.

Please consider the Word of God before you make your move.  There are many accounts of men and women in the scriptures who made decisions, waged wars and abandoned posts without consulting God.  There were consequences.  In some instances there was room for recovery in others the damage done was beyond repair.

In Proverbs 18:15 we are told that the prudent, those who are steady, steadfast -- get knowledge.  They seek wisdom.

Before you make your move, before you act on any decisions such as:
  • Taking a job
  • Selecting a college
  • Buying a house
  • Getting married
  • Sending that "quick response" email
  • Making that "hasty" phone call
Before you make your move consult God.

Proverbs 3:5-6  instructs us to:

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Remember, before you make your move...

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. Constantly replenishing. Help. God is My Help. God bless. In Christ, Sis. Stephanie

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

Believing God

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform  it  until the day of Jesus Christ:” Preparing for the next chapter. Cleaning the clutter inside and out.  Reevaluating priorities.  Seeking a revival.  Believing God.  Slowing down a bit.  Focusing on spiritual wellness.  Taking care of my business.  Exercising faith.  Believing God. Stopping to view the sunrise.  Appreciating the sunset.  Planting flowers.  Picking some… Believing God.  Being thankful.  Being kind.  Being… Just being. Believing God.  God bless. In Christ, Sis.
