Mix it Up

"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee..." - II Timothy 1:6

Dear Friends,

God has given each of us spiritual gifts.  Are you using your gift(s) to His glory?  Are you using your gifts?  Sometimes folks will I say I don't know what my gift is.  However, the Word of God tells us: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. - James 1:5

Before we mix up the ingredients for a cake, we have to make sure that we have all of the ingredients available.  We then  add them to the "mix" in the proper amount if we want the recipe to come out right.  It is important that we take the time to mix the ingredients well once  everything is in the bowl.  There are times when we may have to tweak the recipe, perhaps add a little more of "this or that" to suit our tastes.

God has provided all of the ingredients to enable us to "mix it up."  Stir up the gifts that God has given you.  What he provides us with he equips us for.

II Peter 1:4-8:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I encourage you today to stir up the gift.  Mix it up!

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

Help…My Help

Psalms 46:1   “God  is our  refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Help.  God is my Help. Always present…in trouble and in triumph.  Help. God is my Help.  I lift up my eyes knowing my help comes from the Lord.  All my help.  Every need supplied. He is My Support. He is The Solution. My Benefactor. Ever providing. Always nourishing. THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...
