In The Midst Of...




"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing". - Psalms 107:20-22

Dear Friends,

Keep the faith. The enemy is busy. Yet God is in control.  My grandmother taught me: "Steph, when you walk with the Lord, He ain't gonna let nothing sneak up on you."  She further stated: "They 'talked about' Christ and He was perfect, so what about you?" 

God is the Lord of the Hosanna experience and the Crucifixion Crowd.  In Him we live! In Him we move! In Him we have our being.  When we feel we can't go on. Think about Jesus.  There is healing in His name.  When we feel as if the insults against our character are going to overwhelm us, think about Jesus. There is deliverance in His name.  

"Sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing."  In the midst of  it all, remember,  we serve The Faithful Lord.

 "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together."      - Psalms 34:3

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
