When I Think About


"All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
  - Isaiah 53:6

Dear Friends,

I have fallen short so many times. I wanted my own way. I had to have my say. I was determined to get my point across. Gone astray... Turned aside... Fallen short.

The Bible says: "All we like sheep have gone astray..."  There is not one person who can claim that they got it right every time or that they were in the right in every situation and be telling the truth.

But God, the Lord, provided a solution for our shortcomings, for our sins, our iniquity. He has laid ALL OF OUR INIQUITY ON JESUS CHRIST.

When I think about this, the magnitude of the sacrifice Jesus made, I just cannot take it in. I am overcome, by the love, the grace, the mercy of God.  Jesus died so that I could have a right to eternal life.

The songwriter penned:

" He lives, He lives. Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives. He live, salvation to impart. You ask me how I know he lives: He lives within my heart."

THE WHAT AND THE SOEVER

  Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things  are honest , whatsoever things  are  just, whatsoever things  are  pure, whatsoever things  are  lovely, whatsoever things  are  of good report; if  there be  any virtue, and if  there be  any praise, think on these things.” The truth is Jesus. Honestly. This is a fact. Scripture declares Him to be. The Way, the Truth, the Life. His ways are holy and just. His Word is pure. He is altogether lovely. Focusing on the whatsoever things is to abide in the peace of God. Thoughts centered on bountiful blessings. Determined to dwell on the goodness of God rather than the constant chaos perpetrated by the enemy of our souls. The What is also the Who.  He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords. Matchless in power and might. He is the Faithful and True. He holds the balance in His Hands. God weighs the intent of the heart. True Hones...

The Journey Here

  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - Psalms 23:4 The journey here...that is really something to think about.  Where we are in life as compared to where we had hoped to be.  Paths chosen while other were forgotten or neglected.  Decisions.  Times of indecisiveness. There were times we crawled. Too weary to walk.  We ran. We were too impatient to wait.   The journey.  Here.  That is really something to think about. For me the most difficult and sometimes debilitating aspect of the journey, has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death.  Tempted to fear due to memories of time I could have spent, conversations I should have had, hugs I wish I had given.  This type of fearful fretting is not of God.  I have learned; I am learning that if I truly believe, He is with me.  If I surely stand on His promi...
