Worthy to be Praised

"And David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:  And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;  The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." - II Samuel 22:1-4

Dear Friends,

Worthy the simple definition: Good and deserving respect, praise, or attention; having enough good qualities to be considered important, useful,

David through his experiences with God and his understanding of the great attributes of God, declared:  "...I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised."
 - Psalms 18:3

David experienced the deliverance of God.  The Lord's mighty hand saved him from his enemies.  He learned that God was his rock.  The Lord is unmovable.
He found out that God was a fortress. In the Lord he found a hiding place.  He knew God as a shield.  He experienced the protection of the Lord.

We too can sing a song of deliverance. We declare that God is Our Rock as we trust in Him.  We claim the protection of the Lord.  He is Our Shield. He is Our Savior and Our God.

God is good:

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" - Numbers 23:19

There is none like Him:

"There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." - I Samuel 2:2

The Lord is changeless:

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." - Hebrews 13:8

God is Worthy to be praised in all His Goodness...because of His Holiness...
never changing, never failing.

He is deserving of all honor, all the time, for there is never a time that He is not present. Alpha and Omega.  As it was in the beginning so it shall be.

We praise the Lord for All He is.  We praise the Lord for all He has done. We praise Him. We worship Him.  We honor Him.

He is Worthy to be praised.

in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

I praise God for allowing our lives to intersect in some way. May this day and every day be filled with gratitude. I pray that grace and peace abound.  Let mercy and grace be multiplied. SHIFT KEY

1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”  It all depends on how you look at it. What’s your focus? Is the picture clear or blurry? Do you need to crop the photo for a better view? A little shift in focus can be key.  Shifting the way you look at things can make a big difference.  I am looking at the shift key on my keyboard. I have options. Lower case or uppercase. Numerical or special characters. Failure to shift correctly can cause denied access because my password is not recognized. Shift is key. Some things can be better understood if we take the time to change our focus.  Zoom in on what really matters.  Stop looking at things that appear  insurmountable. Instead shift your focus. Look at God. The view is breathtaking when I look up. I see Jesus. He sees me. I am shifting my focus. Eyes lifted up. I see where my help comes from. My help comes from the Lord. The Lord who

Through the Eyes of Faith ...By Grace

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of work, lest anyone should boast.   - Ephesians 2:8-9  “Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise for it was grace that bought my liberty. I don’t know why He chose to love me so. He looked beyond my faults and saw my needs.”  So much has happened since the last time I “saw” you. The changing circumstances of the journey have been stabilized by an Unchanging God.   Journey on my sisters and brothers. Bask in the knowledge that unfailing mercy and sufficient grace surround you.   Grace makes new beginnings possible. We can begin again. The time is now. The choice? It’s yours. Yours for the asking.  Through the eyes of faith…we see Jesus.  God bless! In Christ,  Sis. Stephanie
